When you get tired of the Beach, Miami has some fantastic shopping near South Beach and beyond. There are sites that stay up to date on sales and discounts, or let you purchase Miami Chic online!

Our favorite shopping was along the Lincoln Road Mall, an open air mall which is home to a variety of shops and art galleries as well as tasty eateries. There are no roads for cars along the mall: just a long walkway for people doing window shopping, strolling through the night, enjoying an ice cream, or just hanging out with friends. The scene at night is romantic along parts of the walk, with outdoor dining sprinkled throughout. However, it gets fairly crowded, with dampened the romance for us. We're also a bit disappointed to see an increasing number of national chains displacing the smaller boutiques that once characterized the Lincoln Road Mall.

The Bal Harbour Shops, located along Collins Ave near South Beach, is more upscale and has, therefore, gained international recognition. This open-air mall has a food court with some tasty options but, more importantly, hosts big names like Tiffany's, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, and Gucci, among others.
