Lahaina lends itself to homey bed and breakfast lodging (and there are some good ones) though there are a number of hotels, as well. To get the best rates, shop around online and look for Maui packages that include lodging and airfare.

Lahaina Bed and Breakfasts

Our favorite Lahaina B&B is Old Lahaina House (800.847.0761). Although it's a bit out of the way, the cozy rooms, nice pool, and affordable rates more than make up for the location.

Lahaina Hotels

The only beachfront resort in Lahaina is The Lahaina Shores Beach resort (808.661.4835). Although it's fairly modest, it's well located on Front Street and the plantation-style mansion is quite beautiful.
