Cannon Beach and Seaside both offer a range of lodging options. You can stay in luxury 5-star accommodations or more simple, affordable inns. In Seaside, the "main drag" is Broadway--so you may want to ask how far off Broadway your hotel/BB is. In Cannon Beach, S. Hemlock street runs right through town--though it's tricky to stray too far since the entire town is rather tiny. While Seaside, in particular, has a number of major-chain hotels (Shilo Hotels, Comfort Inn, Best Western, etc.), we have a better time staying at cute (and often less expensive Inn or Bed and Breakfast). Recommended Inns in Seaside Inn At The Shore (1-800-713-9914): the fantastic location (right on the Seaside promenade overlooking the Pacific) is the primary draw to these 18 suites Sand Dollar Inn (503-738-3491): though the cozy rooms have beautiful views and fully stocked kitchens, it's the BREAKFASTS that the guests can't stop raving about... Recommended Inns in Cannon Beach Harrison Street Inn (503-436-1817): this well-located Inn (not a B&B) offers spacious rooms with fully stocked kitchens and an affordable rate. Ocean Lodge and Beach Bungalows (1-888-777-4047): high style and luxury on Cannon Beach can be found here, where some rooms feature Jacuzzi tubs
RV Parks Seaside also offers a number of RV parks if you are driving your recreational vehicle down to Cannon Beach or Seaside. During busy summer weekends, make sure you call ahead--they fill up! |
